Turkish Cypriot people are by nature warm and hospitable. For 30 years the country has been a backwater in physical and economic isolation. Local people recognise the current property boom as being of enormous benefit to them in bringing prosperity to the country and the prospect of international recognition. You will therefore normally find people very friendly, helpful and welcoming to foreigners in general and British people in particular.
